Samer Majali, the chief executive of Gulf Air has unveiled plans to increase the number of flights to the Omani capital from 28 to 35 a week and launch a direct service from Bahrain to Salalah, Muscat Daily has reported. The Bahraini carrier is also considering setting up a lounge at the Muscat International Airport. The airline will fly five daily flights to Muscat from Manama in the near future, up from the current four, as it seeks to boost its market share in the Sultanate, Majali said.
