Three Haj flights were cancelled on Tuesday while 14 were delayed as the national flag carrier is still handicapped by six grounded aircraft. Hajj flights PK 1031 from Karachi, PK1431 from Islamabad and PK 1331 from Lahore were cancelled while PK 1435 Islamabad-Jeddah was delayed by an hour.
PK 232 Dubai-Quetta and PK 204 Dubai-Lahore were held up for two hours after the fuel supply to the aircraft was delayed by their vendor. Both flights were held up for over 1:30 hours after which PIA sorted out the matter with the vendor and the flights could proceed to their destinations.
Among the flights delayed on Tuesday included PK 503 Karachi-Gwadar 1:30 hours late, PK 352 Karachi-Quetta one hour, PK 210 Sharjah-Sialkot 9 hours, PK 660 Islamabad-Peshawar 5.30 hours, PK 363 Quetta-Karachi 2:30 hours, PK 322 Quetta-Lahore 2 hours, PK 340 Karachi-Faisalabad 6 hours, PK 211 Islamabad-Dubai 2 hours and PK 681 Islamabad-Multan was 1:30 hours late.
