Singapore Airlines will increase frequency to points in Southeast Asia, North Asia, the Indian subcontinent and other markets during the Northern Winter operating season between 30 October 2011 and 24 March 2012.An additional daily service will be introduced on the Singapore-Bangkok route, increasing flight frequency to five per day from four.As demand progressively recovers for travel to and from Japan, services between Singapore and Tokyo Haneda will return to twice-daily from daily. Frequency on the Singapore-Osaka route will also increase, to 11 flights per week from 10.Singapore-Guangzhou services will double, to 14 flights per week from seven.
Frequency between Singapore and Mumbai will increase to 17 flights per week from 14, while the number of Ahmedabad flights will also increase, to three per week from two.Services between Singapore and Istanbul will meanwhile increase to six times weekly from four times weekly, subject to regulatory approval. Three of the flights will carry on to Athens.Services to Cape Town, via Johannesburg, will increase to four per week from three.
