Kenya Airways restart flights to Ivory Coast

Kenya Airways has resumed its flights to Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire. The leading Airline had halted its operations to the West African Country due to the political skirmishes that erupted after last year’s December elections.In a press release the Airline said it wished to inform its passengers, customers, the travel trade and the public that it is now flying to the Abidjan City.

KQ resumes the route with three flights a week linked with Dakar starting 2nd May 2011 operating on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.The Airline says flights to Abidjan/Dakar were re routed to Accra, Ghana on 1st April due to security reasons.We have rerouted our flights, Abidjan/Dakar have been rerouted to Accra Ghana due to security reasons. Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni said.But as a result of the improved political and security situation in Cote d’Ivoire, Abidjan flights have been reinstated. He added.Kenya Airways flies daily to Dakar, 3 times a week via Abidjan and 4 times a week via Bamako Mali.
