The United Kingdom is considering for resumption of British Airways flights to Pakistan to help reinvigorate the friendly ties between the two countries.
This was stated by British Prime Minister David Cameron during his telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday afternoon following discussions on bilateral and regional issues, held during his visit to Islamabad on April 5.

Cameron told the prime minister that his government was actively pursuing Pakistan’s case with EU for greater market access, as well as for dispatch of EU’s fisheries’ delegation to Pakistan.He stated that he would be writing to the prime minister shortly detailing steps to implement the decisions taken during his visit to Pakistan to strengthen the strategic relations encompassing all areas of cooperation. Both the leaders also discussed Prime Minister Gilani’s today’s visit to Kabul and the prospects of a political settlement to pave the way for restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Cameron during his visit to Pakistan pronounced that Pakistan-UK relationships are unbreakable.His meetings with the opposition leaders, chief ministers of the provinces and other coalition partners apart from a close interaction with students added greater strength to the long-standing co-operation between the two countries and its people.Cameron’s visit at a time when the coalition forces have entered a crucial phase in Afghanistan whereby a drawdown would commence from July this year and that withdrawal of the British forces is likely to be completed by 2015-attached more significance to it.
