Delta is adding two new flights to Atlanta from the Piedmont Triad International Airport.PTI officials announced that Delta is adding a fourth mainline flight to Atlanta on June 9 followed by a fifth flight on July 1. The flights will be served with Boeing MD-88 and DC-9 aircraft.
We are very excited about Delta bringing back mainline service at PTI,said Henry Isaacson, chairman of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority in a statement. “The additional seats as well as the first-class cabin will give passengers flying out of PTI more options on flights to Atlanta.Delta, which now offers 13 daily nonstop flights from PTI, was the second largest carrier at the airport in February, according to the latest data available.
