Alaska Airlines adds flight to S.J.-Hawaii

Alaska Airlines will begin flights to the Hawaiian island of Kauai from Mineta San Jose International Airport on Sunday and from Oakland International Airport on Monday.The airline will depart from San Jose at 7:50 a.m. every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, and from Oakland at the same time every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Alaska currently flies from both Bay Area airports several times a week to Maui and to the Big Island of Hawaii.A judge said Friday he would issue a ruling next week in a lawsuit filed by Target against a San Diego pro-gay marriage group to make it stop canvassing outside the retailer’s California stores.The Minnesota-based corporation is seeking an injunction barring the activists from every outlet in the state, alleging they harass customers by cornering them near store entrances to discuss gay marriage, solicit donations and collect signatures on petitions for their cause.

Target previously made a $150,000 donation to a business group backing a Minnesota Republican candidate opposed to gay During a court hearing Friday in San Diego, Target attorney David McDowell told Judge Jeffrey Barton the case is about Target’s right to enforce its rules on its land.Warren Buffett, the billionaire stock picker and takeover specialist, said investors should be wary of valuations for social networking companies as some of the industry’s biggest companies prepare to sell shares.Most of them will be overpriced,Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, said Friday in New Delhi.It’s extremely difficult to value social-networking-site companies,he said, without specifying companies. Some will be huge winners, which will make up for the rest.
