President Goodluck Jonathan has given approval for additional flights for the evacuation of Nigerians trapped in Tripoli International Airport.Director-General, National Emergency Management Agency, Muhammmad Sani-Sidi disclosed this at the weekend when he received executive members of the Afrikan Health and Development Support Initiative.
He said the agency would evacuate Nigerians in Libya who have registered with the Embassy and indicated their willingness to return, adding that 128 of 170 Nigerians stranded in the Tunisian border have arrived.The evacuation of Nigerians from Libya is done with high sense of sensitivity, responsiveness and mutual respect so as not to put the lives of our citizens in jeopardy,” he said.
