German airline Condor is expected to launch twice weekly flights to Puerto Rico by the end of the year.The island’s economic development secretary said Thursday that the agreement is expected to generate $9 million in annual revenue for Puerto Rico. Jose Perez also said he anticipates more than 14,000 new visitors a year as a result of the new flights.
The flights will leave Frankfurt every Wednesday and Saturday starting around December.Tourism officials say Puerto Rico ranks as the fourth most popular destination in the Caribbean among German tourists.
