Yemenia Airways to increase flights to China, France, Germany and Syria

Yemenia Airways has increased frequencies to a number of destinations across the carrier’s network.The airline is set to add flights to China, France, Germany and Syria.The national flag carrier of Yemen will add a third frequency to Guangzhou Baiyun International airport starting from April 1, 2011, a third frequency to Charles De Gaulle airport effective June 4, 2011, a third frequency to Frankfurt effective June 2, 2011, in addition to fourth and fifth frequencies to Damascus from June 2, 2011.

In January 2010, the company has signed for US$ 700 million with the Airbus Industry for ten A320 aircrafts that would be delivered in 2011, 2012 and 2013.The deal came within the Yemenia’s plans to expand flight destinations including to those in China and India.The Yemenia Airways fleet includes four brand A310-300 airplanes, two brand A330-200 which were delivered to Yemenia in November 2004 and one brand new B737-800. Three brand new B-737-800 were delivered to Yemenia Airways during May, August, and September of 2002.
