British Airways and fellow UK carrier bmi cancelled their return flights to Tripoli on Wednesday due to the Libyan crisis.BA, which operates daily services to the Libyan capital from Heathrow airport, said it had also axed Thursday’s Tripoli service.Bmi, which also flies to Tripoli daily from Heathrow, said it would make a decision later about whether it would operate its Thursday Libya flight.
BA said it was keeping Friday’s flight under review and urged customers due to fly to or from Libya.A BA spokeswoman said: Customers who are booked to travel to or from Tripoli up to Monday February 27 can claim a full refund, rebook to a later date or use the value of their ticket towards a ticket to another BA destination.BA and bmi also cancelled Tuesday’s flights to Tripoli.
