Delta Air Lines announced today that it is adding five nonstop flights a day from Orlando International Airport to Miami.The new flights begin March 26 and were created to make connections easier for the airline’s new flights between Miami and London’s Heathrow Airport, a Delta spokeswoman said.
Prices were not announced, but an online check of random dates showed round-trip fares in the neighborhood of $200.Currently, Delta passengers would have to fly to Atlanta first and change planes to get to Miami from Orlando International. American, Continental and United already offer nonstop flights between Orlando and Miami.Also starting March 26, Delta is adding five flights daily between Tampa and Miami and four between Jacksonville and Miami.
