300 flights cancelled in Frankfurt

Airport authorities cancelled roughly 300 flights in Frankfurt, Germany’s major airport. Weather conditions do not seem to be improving and more snowfalls are forecast. On Sunday, approximately half of the 1,329 scheduled flights remained on the ground, especially because numerous other European airports were closed due to adverse weather conditions. And, in Frankfurt, hundreds of persons were forced to spend the night in makeshift beds set up in the airport.
