Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways said Monday it will start service to Chicago next fall and add more flights to New York’s JFK.Cathay Pacific will launch daily nonstop passenger service between Hong Kong and Chicago on Sept. 1. Chicago will be the airline’s first new American destination since 1998. The airline currently flies to Los Angeles, New York JFK and San Francisco in the United States with more than 50 flights per week.
Flights will be available for sale later this month.Also Monday, the airline said it will add a third nonstop flight from New York’s JFK International Airport to Hong Kong on March 27, operating on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This new flight will become daily on May 2.
