Singapore Airlines A380 flights will resume to Melbourne and Sydney after earlier grounding the aircraft for precautionary checks following the explosion of a Qantas A380 Rolls Royce engine on a flight from Singapore yesterday.Singapore Airlines initially indicated that A380 flights would continue as normal following the Qantas incident yesterday, however following advice from engine manufacturer Rolls Royce and aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the airline grounded its A380 fleet for precautionary checks.Last week Singapore Airlines announced they would double the number of A380 aircraft flying between Sydney and Singapore, adding 140,000 seats a year to the route.
