Airphil Express , formerly Air Philippines, is serving new domestic routes.In a statement, the Lucio Tan-led carrier said its new Airbus A320 has been serving Manila-Zamboanga and Cebu-Davao flights since last Friday, October 1.Both are daily flights, with fares starting at P2,078 for the Manila-Zamboanga route and P1,088 for the Cebu-Davao route. The said amounts are exclusive of value-added tax.Our passengers on our new flights from Manila to Zamboanga and Cebu to Davao will be the first to experience the new comforts of the brand new Airbus A320,said Maria Java, APX vice president for marketing and media.
She added,These new routes are the latest in our expansion plans to refocus our operations to our hubs in Cebu, Davao and Zamboanga in order to support local trade demand.APX recently increased its flights to Singapore to 7 times a week from its initial thrice weekly schedule. The airline is set to operate from Changi Airport’s Budget Terminal 4 this month.The growing demand for low-cost air travel to exciting destinations such as Singapore is the main factor in our decision to fly the Singapore-Manila route as our first regional offering,Java earlier said.Flag carrier Philippine Airlines, led by Tan, is the parent company of APX.
