Air New Zealand has announced to increase the number of flights between Tauranga and Christchurch. Air New Zealand, which had 5 flights a week flying between Tauranga and Christchurch, is planning to increase the number of flights in a week to 11.This news would come as a pleasant surprise to travelers, both of the business and leisure category, as the services have been doubled and would be something that the Tauranga airport would be looking forward to as well.According to Tauranga General Manager, Ray Dumble, It’s great for business people who are heading to Christchurch or the West Coast for a day and can fly back same day the cost saving is huge.Stressing on people who prefer one day travel, to and fro between Christchurch and Tauranga, the increase in the number of flights would definitely be welcomed by one and all.Apart from the increase in flights between Christchurch and Tauranga, Air New Zealand is also planning to increase the number of flights between New Plymouth and Christchurch. The increase in flights has been done due to the increased demand for flights by weekend travelers, who prefer quicker connectivity.There has also been an increase in the capacity of flights between Palmerston North and Auckland, Napier and Auckland, and Palmerston North and Christchurch recently.
