Flights were cancelled from 0700 BST on Monday after both the airport’s fire trucks were out of action because of technical problems.A replacement truck was brought in from another airport on Monday night.Hundreds of passengers on flights to destinations including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle and the Channel Islands were affected.Some passengers were transferred by bus to Bristol Airport for alternative flights.The first flight from Exeter took off on Tuesday at about 0700 BST, bound for Edinburgh.
