Lighting caused delays to flights at the King Shaka International Airport on Monday night when some of the lights on the runway blanked out in a storm.
Electricians were called in to repair the lighting.Not all the lights were affected and we managed to catch up on the delays, said Colin Naidoo, the communications manager for the Airports Company South Africa Acsa.

While Acsa said that there were delays of about 15 minutes, a passenger on a One Time plane said she had to wait about 45 minutes before her aircraft could leave.Meanwhile, the cold weather continues  Durban’s minimum temperature today is 10°C and maximum 20°C.
