Emirates passengers flight to Madinah through or from Dubai can now travel to the holy city in comfort and style as the airline announced an increase in frequency to four flights a week from August 3.On July 2, Emirates launched a twice-weekly service to Madinah from Dubai and back. This will be effective till September 24. Ahmed Khoory, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran said the decision to increase the month-old new service to Al Madinah Al Munawarrah from twice to four times weekly throughout summer is due to the increased demand during this peak travel period.
Emirates is delighted to be able to offer flights to Al Madinah Al Munawarrah throughout the busy summer months. This new, limited time, service means that Emirates will have four gateways into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia across the peak summer holiday, ensuring we are able to sufficiently service the thousands of people travelling to and from the country, Khoory said.
Khoory said that while nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries should not require any specific visas to travel to Madinah, passengers from other countries will normally require a dedicated Umrah visa to take a
flight to Madinah.
