As the winter holidays exodus begins, the extreme low temperatures caused for several flights scheduled to take-off from the Aeroparque Metropolitan airport to be delayed to avoid problems once they’re in the air, sources said.Flights to Salta, Córdoba, Santiago de Chile, Iguazú, Río Gallegos and Salta have been cancelled due to the extremely low temperatures being registered in these provinces, some of them the lowest in the country.Other flights which were scheduled to leave early in the morning have been delayed and airport authorities hope they can take-off in the next few hours.Once the polar wave currently hitting the country ceases, the situation is expected to go back to normal.
