Air Austral has announced its new route from Reunion Island to Bordeaux and Nantes effective 10 February 2011.The establishment of this route is in direct response to the increase in demand from both domestic and international travellers for services to the regions.The service will operate twice a week from Reunion Island on a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, UU 947 will depart Reunion Island at 23:30, arriving in Bordeaux at 08:00 the following day before connecting to Nantes at 09:10 and arriving at 10:05.The return service, flight UU948, will depart Nantes on Wednesdays and Fridays at 17:00, arriving in Bordeaux at 17:55, before connecting to Reunion at 19:05 and arriving at 08:55 the following day.
Air Austral operates flies twice a week between Sydney and Reunion, 11 flights a week between Reunion and Paris, two flights a week between Reunion and Lyon and three flights a week between Reunion and Marseille.Air Austral has an interline agreement with Virgin Blue with fares from Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane to the Indian Ocean.
