Excited holidaymakers about to book flights to Kefalonia should verify rates offered by exchange bureaux before committing to their plans. This is according to the head of travel money with the Post Office, Sarah Munro, who said that not all charges are the same and can vary depending on the cash in question.
UK tourists who don’t check the rate offered for the currency they need could end up with less money to spend on holiday, she remarked.Ms Munro was commenting in the wake of research from Post Office Travel Money revealing that 75 per cent of destination currencies are not readily available on demand from bureaux. And some travellers may find they have to pre-order their money, as the report found that only one provider other than the Post Office offers a same-day service. However, this should not deter individuals from jetting off on their vacations and now could be the perfect time to visit Greece, according to Nikolas Zoulakis of the country’s tourism office, based out of New York. The official noted that the months until June are warm and the beaches are free from lots of tourists, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported.
