Alaska Airlines will begin nonstop, daily flights between San Diego and Maui and seasonal flights between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta this fall, it was announced Thursday.Alaska Airlines service between San Diego and Maui will begin on Oct. 1 and run year-round, according to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

Additionally, seasonal nonstop flights between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta will begin Nov. 12. Flights to Puerto Vallarta will run daily from November to April.The addition of these daily routes to popular destinations is good news for San Diego, Thella Bowens, the Airport Authority’s president, said.
