Delta Air Lines has announced new flights to benefit business travelers, but some will likely come in handy for those of us ready for a holiday as well. According to Breaking Travel News, the airline will be expanding service in Los Angeles and New York, and these changes will influence other cities across the U.S. such as Chicago, Columbus and San Francisco.
Beginning June 10, Delta will offer hourly flights totaling 11 daily round-trips from New York – LaGuardia to Chicago O’Hare. These flights will replace the current flights available from LaGuardia to Chicago Midway. This shuttle service comes with a few perks. Kiosks will allow for the purchase of same day travel to LaGuardia. Passengers will have access to free coffee, tea and newspapers when departing from these gates. In addition on these business shuttle flights, meals will be served in first class, and economy will receive bagels before 10:00 a.m. as well as complimentary wine and beer.
Also beginning June 10 will be non-stop flights between Los Angeles International Airport and four cities across the U.S. The non-stop flights to Columbus, Ohio and San Francisco will operate daily. Non-stop flights to Hartford, Conn. and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. will operate every day except Saturday. Tickets for these new flights should become available for purchase by the end of the month.
