flights to Perpignan

Flybe will going to launch new flights from Birmingham Airport to Perpignan this summer.

The airline announced that it will offer three weekly departures to the destination in southern France on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays between July 13th and August 31st.

The Perpignan flights was welcomed by John Morris, head of corporate affairs at Birmingham Airport, who said it was “great news” for people who want to explore the “coastal and mountainous surroundings” of southern France.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, said the airline was “delighted” to be increasing its presence at Birmingham Airport and strengthening its commitment to the Midlands.

He added: “Flybe has continued to grow and we remain committed to providing the widest, most convenient and affordable range of holiday flights for our passengers.”

Flybe recently announced that it achieved its highest ever weekend sales this month, with demand for tickets 25 per cent up from the same period in January 2009.
